Es gibt ein neues Logo :
Das neue PS3-System wird sich auf die Bereitstellung von Spielen und anderen Entertainment-Inhalten konzentrieren
Die Nutzer werden nicht in der Lage sein, andere Betriebssysteme (z.B. Linux) auf dem neuen PS3-System zu installieren.
Die neue PS3 wird von Werk aus mit der neuen PS3-Systemsoftware Version 3.00 ausgeliefert.
Die System-Software auf Version 3.00 wird auch am 1. September für die älteren PS3s Bereitgestellt.
BRAVIA ® Sync ™ Feature
Das neue PS3-System ist auch mit der BRAVIA ® Sync ™-Funktion kompatibel.
Durch den Anschluss des neuen PS3-Systems an einem BRAVIA Fernseher mit einem
HDMI-Kabel ist der Benutzer in der Lage mit Hilfe der TV-Fernbedienung das XMB der PS3
zu steuern. Als weitere Funktion gibt es das "System Standby", das das PS3-System
automatisch ausschaltet sobald der BRAVIA TV ausgeschaltet wird.

Um das neue PS3 System vertikal betreiben zu können , benötigt man einen vertikal
Ständer den es ab dem 3. September in Japan & Nordamerika geben wird
Der Preis beträgt 2.000 Yen / 24 US $
Der Release Termin und der Preis des vertikal Ständers für Europa / PAL-Regionen
und den asiatischen Ländern wird noch bekannt gegeben sobald sie zur Verfügung stehen.
