The WILDCARD drivers stand there in case someone's missing. They're not there only for GT-1 class. If it is necessary they race in the other two classes as well.
About the formation lap, yes you got it right. There wont be any gap between the classes at the beginning, as the cars will create the gap after that because of the different speeds.
In about 1 hour from now the lobby will be open. Make sure you'll be there early. Please limit your cars before you enter the lobby. For safe, the lobby will be limited to 100bhp. After a while, we'll start the entrance in the track. First at 490 bhp for SuperGT class, then at 600 bhp for GT-1 class and then at 750 bhp for LMP class.
See you there guys. Let's have a nice start, and a good month. Thank you all!

Oh, hensar....only if you could reply earlier! Too bad you missed that. Well, you can take a regular seat if you like. We did the first race.
Decide for your car and class, and you can race next time as regular. I'll be glad to see you coming mate.
Soon, a race review will be up, photos and interviews from some drivers.
But first, i'd like to thank everyone for racing the whole 2h 20m. It's tough, i know, but this is the most important feature of this event.
You'll get used to it.
You can all write a race review here. With a PM, some of you, will receive some questions to answer. Then, your answers will be posted here.

hey sonam,
thank you for organising this event and even keeping it within the schedule!
really cool guys!
okay...here comes my race-review:
Start....oh...finish!
Well...surprise, surprise, the imbalance between the Cars in GT1 showed up even stronger, than I expected. I was nearly 12 seconds per lap off the pace and due to the fact Wasi had a disconnect quite early, this race was nothing but a 35-lap-Testrun in a cool car...I was really keeping it clean, no mistakes in 2,4 hrs, a very good lap as my fastest and even though I was struggling to even stay in front of the Supter-GTs...
In the end, Christian was something round 3min30secs in front of me, after 35 laps.
I guess Christian as well as I, hadn't had a too spectacular evening...^^
Well no wonder, as the CLK and F1 had something around 80PP more.
Too bad, I wasn't able to participate on the Testrace, to see how hughe these differences were, but it's a fact now that some of these GT1-cars are wether too fast (former LMP-class cars (in reality) an le mans winners!) or the kw-limit for some cars is too drastic. plus the circumstance, we just had three starters in GT1-class...
Don't missunderstand me: I knew, my car would be slower, this is why Phil and I chose it, to somehow regulate an individual balance of performance between us drivers to find us again in tight races. And yes, I did the choice...
...but, this difference is too hughe!
So, it depends on the RC, what to change, if to change, but really: driving 2,5 hrs alone, no one in sight to the front or back, no possibilities to vary with tactics...
Best wishes,
Manu

The race results from the first race of THG 24h SIM LEAGUE.

***Drivers who disconnected, will receive the half of the points they deserved when they disconnected!***
@Manu
Yes, yesterday only the LMP class had a race as it should be.
In GT-1 class was the biggest problem. Not enough drivers at the starting grid, and huge gaps between cars. Let me explain a few things from my perspective as the race organizator.
First of all, until the 1st race, i should leave the invited drivers decide even in the last moment, if they race or not. I could not invite others as regulars, and when one of the invited drivers decide to race, to stay out. From now, we can call new drivers. So, whoever is interested, and thinking seriously to participate in this league, can leave a comment in this thread.
That's why the grid was not full. Hope next race, we have at least 4 drivers in each class. Also, the disconnections made the track look empty.
About the cars. In each class, there are some faster and some slower cars. I cannot do something about it. Limit the weight is not a solution, because at the track entrance, i have to change the settings a million times for every car. I tried to have a big list, with plenty of cars. I understand that your choice was the AUDI so you balance the performance between the drivers. Respectful and thank you for doing this and carrying about the closer results. But, having such big gaps, is a problem. AUDI is the weakest car of the list. There are more than two top cars in this list though, and you can search for a new car, as you missed the TEST RACE, where you could change your car and class. As a suggestion, i would say that Ford GT, Pagani Zonda LM and also an add for this class, is the Panoz Esperante. Forgive me for missing this car. The choice is yours.
So, in conclusion to this one, you can take a new car, (same as neur-phil) and we'll try to get more guys for the next race.
I repeat, that because this LEAGUE is a new league, and it's still in an experimental stage, some things will change, other things will go wrong, people will get their experiences and get used to it and it's strange features so next season, we're all sure of what we do here.
Thank you all for helping me.
Best regards,
Manos.

Race review From 1st race of THG 24h SIM LEAGUE in Circuit de la Sarthe.
First of all, the Qualification went well, as the drivers joined the track with the bhp limit for each class, and most of them saved a lap time. The drivers who didn't save a time, they went at the last place of their class at the formation lap.
The pole drivers were:
Gt-Racing-cz_MSM for LMP class
THG-Landei for GT-1 class
micha-stark for SuperGT class
Here's the starting Grid:

Qualification results:
LMP class:
Gt-Racing-cz_MSM
THG-sonam8246
DZUS
baccus74 (didn't save a time)
chrr1rn12 (didn't save a time)
GT-1 class:
THG-Landei
huasee
Manuellardo (didn't save a time)
SuperGT class:
micha-stark
THG-Rossi46
THG-IsaacIII (didn't save a time)
At the start, we all drove cautiously and the drivers let the fast cars take their places. Gt-Racing-cz_MSM led the formation lap, with max speed 120km/h. At the right moment, every driver, slowed down to 60km/h at the last part of the track.
Here are some pictures of the formation lap and the start:

Unfortunatelly at lap 8 of the race, our friends THG-Rossi46 and huasee disconnected and didn't finish their races. After that, the race for GT-1 and SuperGT class has no interest!
GT-Racing-cz_MSM had an incredible pace, 8 to 10 seconds faster each lap form the rest of the drivers in LMP class. His race was almost clear of mistakes. Will he take his 2nd win easily again with his impressive driving?
Behind him was THG-sonam8246, who managed to built a gap from the other 3 cars of the class. It seems like he has no chance for the win. Can he keep his 2nd place?
DZUS, chrr1rn12 and baccus74 had a big battle until the end of the race, where DZUS took the 3rd place. Behind him finished chrr1rn12 and last of the class came baccus74, who faced setup problems. Maybe in the next race, he can be much faster if his setup fits him well.
Next race, it seems that they will be even closer. Will chrr1rn12 beat the PS3GL boys and make his way up to the leaderboards, or DZUS' fast driving will stop him again?
THG-Landei was the leader of the GT-1 class. Before the DC of huasee, the rbattle was hard between them, and it showed that it would be very interesting till the end of the race. The DC let Landei alone in track, racing for 32 laps without a motive. He was carefull though, didn't do many mistakes, and took the win. Can he keep this result for next race also?
Huasee raced for only 8 laps. His performance was quite impressive though, he challenged the rest drivers, and set the fastest lap of the class from very early. If he has no connection problems, he may got many chances for the win.
Manuellardo, seemed to have no chance as his car was much slower and he was way off the class' pace. A clear race by him, without mistakes, carefull when faster cars approached, he did a lonely race in his AUDI R8, finishing 2nd in this race, 1 lap behind THG-Landei. Will he change his car for next race, and be competitive again?
In the SuperGT class, the race was going to be very interesting. micha-stark had the pole in his Lexus, followed by THG-Rossi46 and THG-IsaacIII. micha had a solid performance, without mistakes and drama, he led the class for the whole race, finished in 1st place and took 10 points home. Will he win the next race also for SuperGT?
THG-IsaacIII in his noisy WEIDER, also made an interesting race, again battling micha, for a few laps, before he had an accident, which cost him any chance to take the lead. He got left way behind, but by fighting hard and finding again his good pace, he managed to set the fastest time of the race for SuperGT class, and closing up to micha each lap. Will he find his pace again next race, avoid mistakes and battle hard his opponents for 1st place?
Rossi had an accident during the formation lap, which caused him the necessary pit stop at the end of this lap. Many seconds behind his class and with a bad start, he tried to make his way up, and meet again his class drivers. The bad luck didn't end there though, and at lap 8, he got signed out of PSN, and didn't finish his race. Maybe next time the luck is with him.
At the end of the race, we saw a beautiful sunset, and the sky was becoming darker and darker every lap.

Next race is in Laguna Seca. Due to short Distance of the track, be prepared for many many laps. There we'll find out who's got the talent. Stay tuned and keep racing.

After the first race of the league, we met some of the drivers and here they talk to us about their experiences: (All of them replied to the same questions)
DZUS from LMP class:
Q: What were the highlights of the previous race for you?
A: It was a good and very long (and kinda painful) race where we all needed to keep concentration for as long as possible. It was going well until I had an incident and was forced to pit, after that it carried on almost 100% consistently I was happy with the result, having had no practice before.
Q: After the end of the race, what were your thoughts and your feelings?
A: IT'S FINALLY OVER! : ) No seriously, I thought it was good, very tough.
Q: Are you pleased with your result? Was it easy or hard to achieve?
A: I am pleased with my result, it was quite tough to achieve because of some setbacks in the race.
Q: Who do you see as your main rival for the rest of the championship after the first race?
A: Baccus or Sonam
Q: What are the changes you want to do for the next race if there are any and what areyour goals for the next race and the class battle?
A: I will need to practice a bit more. And of course no disconnections to any driver and more people joining the race... that would be great.
Q: You think you can win your class championship and go for the Grand Final?
A: No, I have to try and win 1 race, that's the goal for me.
Q: What is your opinion about the other two classes?
A: They are obviously slower but they seem to have competition in their own classes so that's always good, that's the point.
Q: What are the reasons that made you take part in this league?
A: Sonam bribed me... jokes. I wanted a serious race that would test my skill.
Q: From 1 to 10, you'd give a [?] to this league.
A: Definitely a -2, it must be said that it's a horrible league. LOL. No I'd give it a 10, very very good organizing from Sonam.
Q: What is the key to win for you?
A: Consistency and not getting involved with any other driver, keeping as far away from them as possible.
THG-Landei from GT-1 class:
Q: What were the highlights of the previous race for you?
A: The Roll-In lap with three classes on the track impressed me.
after this the first laps had been exciting. - fighting with huasee and his BMW
Q: After the end of the race, what were your thoughts and your feelings?
A: READY !
Q: Are you pleased with your result? Was it easy or hard to achieve?
A: Reaching a victory is always a pleasuer.
When huasee left the track it was more than easy to reach the victory.
Manuellardo with his R8 had no chance to reach the speed of the BMW or Mercedes.
Q: Who do you see as your main rival for the rest of the championship after the first race?
A: The distance is my main rivale.
Huasee could be a rival if he don´t get a DC.
Q: What are the changes you want to do for the next race if there are any and what areyour goals for the next race and the class battle?
A: I hope for changing the rules, to get more rivals.
It is not necessairy to change anything in the team or with our car.
Q: You think you can win your class championship and go for the Grand Final?
A: Huasee or me would reach the grand final.
if there is a movement with the rules, there could be another racer, too.
Q: What is your opinion about the other two classes?
A: Sometime a LMP overtake me, but I don´t see any GT500 on the track last time.
Q: What are the reasons that made you take part in this league?
A: I think this is a good idea and I wanted to help testing this new raceformat.
Q: From 1 to 10, you'd give a [?] to this league.
A: I would give middle, -5
Q: What is the key to win for you?
A: I think my key of my Mercedes CLK is the basic for beeing successful.
THG-IsaacIII from SuperGT class:
Q: What were the highlights of the previous race for you?
A: First of all, that is was the first race. Great to see that the event is born, and that people are coming from all countries to race in it.
Secondly, that I finished the race without causing major incidents. Thirdly, the TOPGUN drivers who were in this race. And last but not least, that I was only 20 seconds after P1 in my class, with 1 stop more.
Q: After the end of the race, what were your thoughts and your feelings?
A: First thought: WOW! Then a afterglow feeling. What a race!!! More than TWO HOURS of racing. What an excitement.
Q: Are you pleased with your result? Was it easy or hard to achieve?
A: Yeah, I'm pleased with the result. P2 with only 20 sec to P1 is okay, especially with one more stop. The guy on P1 and bumped eachother in the heat of the fight, that is why I got a damage.
More than two hours of racing is hard, but it gives satisfaction in a non erotical way, hehe.
Q: Who do you see as your main rival for the rest of the championship after the first race?
A: Myself really. If I drive a bit more carefull, I might be able to beat the other two guys in my class. I think my Weider can take their Lexus and GT-R.
Q: What are the changes you want to do for the next race if there are any and what areyour goals for the next race and the class battle?
A: See the question before this. Drive more carefull, so I won't get into a bump-situation. My goal for next race is P2 again, with a chance to even get to P1.
Q: You think you can win your class championship and go for the Grand Final?
A: There is a chance still, yes, I think.
Q: What is your opinion about the other two classes?
A: Those guys are fast and furious.
Q: What are the reasons that made you take part in this league?
A: I started THG a year ago. Later I started an event, called the THG SUNDAY CUP. This is a laid back event for the sunday evening. Now you, sonam, have started the second THG event, I was very excited. Ofcourse I wanna be part of that!
Q: From 1 to 10, you'd give a [?] to this league.
A: 8 or 9
Q: What is the key to win for you?
A: NOT driving too wild.
Baccus74 from LMP class:
Q: What were the highlights of the previous race for you?
A: Highlights....none!
Q: After the end of the race, what were your thoughts and your feelings?
A: after the end of the race I thought I need a new improved setup!
Q: Are you pleased with your result? Was it easy or hard to achieve?
A: Easy to get last and no never happy with last place.
Q: Who do you see as your main rival for the rest of the championship after the first race?
A: everybody.
Q: What are the changes you want to do for the next race if there are any and what areyour goals for the next race and the class battle?
A: I would like tuning prohibited. To finish higher then last.
Q: You think you can win your class championship and go for the Grand Final?
A: Not at the moment.
Q: What is your opinion about the other two classes?
A: I have none at the moment.
Q: What are the reasons that made you take part in this league?
A: The reason I took part is the people I meet, and it seems like an interesting development of a good concept.
Q: From 1 to 10, you'd give a [?] to this league.
A: out of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 6
Q: What is the key to win for you?
A: The key for me is less mistakes on my part.
Manuellardo from GT-1 class:
Q: What were the highlights of the previous race for you?
A: To be honest: I didn't had too many highlights
To name at least one: I really enjoyed the final lap, when I was doing an honour lap door to door with the GT1-class-winner: Christian! That was real endurance-like!
Q: After the end of the race, what were your thoughts and your feelings?
A: Well I was kind of frustrated, due to such an underperformanced car, with which I had no chance in my class. I was 12 seconds off the pace shown by the class leaders and I was even struggeling to keep the SuperGT's behind me. But generally it was nice to compete in an endurance race, after quite a long time of absence. I really like this style of racing due to the fact, you always have to concentrate 100'% over a loooooong time! Challenging!
Q: Are you pleased with your result? Was it easy or hard to achieve?
A: Both! It was very easy to finish last in my class, but also it was a hard race, as I was pushing every single lap against my own splits. I'm proud to say I did an 2,4hrs race without any mistake, topped my qualytime over 2 seconds and showed an precise and accurate drivingstyle!
Q: Who do you see as your main rival for the rest of the championship after the first race?
A: The class-leader!
Q: What are the changes you want to do for the next race if there are any and what areyour goals for the next race and the class battle?
A: Well, my team is searching the market right now to find another competitive car, with which I can challenge the classleader even more. So we'll change the car and see what we get then
Q: You think you can win your class championship and go for the Grand Final?
A: Well maybe...I don't know yet. I mean it's still over 10hrs racing till the grand final with a lot of unknown situations, so it's hard to look into the future! Generally I'd say, yes, I can win this class, but for me fun and clean tight fights are more important than titles!
Q: What is your opinion about the other two classes?
A: Well the LMP-class seems to have a tight midfield, from what I've seen. That's perfect for the fans, to see some close racing! But even there I could see some sort of imbalance between the cars. Furthermore I liked the way the LMP-drivers behaved during overlapping. Very caring and attentive! During the first race I had no experiences with the SuperGT-class. Saw them in my mirrors during the first laps...the cars look good. This is what I can attest!
Q: What are the reasons that made you take part in this league?
A: Mainly to work on my concentrationskills. As I get more experienced and faster, I know more often compete on an higher level, where every single misstake can decide over several racepositions. So it's extremely important for me to work on my errorquote and improve my concentrationskills!
Q: From 1 to 10, you'd give a [?] to this league.
A: I'd rate it a seven!
Really, it's perfectly managed, great concept, rules, idea, organisation and so on. I even like the drivers selected. The three points I deducted, maybe get added again, depending on how my season continues
Q: What is the key to win for you?
A: Work, dedication and competence!

Hey sonam I really cant´t participate at the next race. We are in vacations and my family planned it ,so I am not at home when you guys are racing
Sorry that it is the 2nd time in a row but I nearly don´t have influence on it, it comes how it comes
I want to let you know that i am still interested in your series , but sometimes real life is the most important
I hope you´ll find anybody who replaces me in that race
Philipp

Friday 22.03.2013
THG 24h SIM LEAGUE - RACE 2
Laguna Seca Raceway

Laps:110
Lobby open: 20:00 (GMT+1)
Race starts: 20:40 (GMT+1)
As we did in 1st race, we'll use the Formation Lap start again. In 1st race, it went perfectly, i can say better than expected. Now, we'll do the same and hope people act responsibly in a narrow and short track. Be carefull.
Some info about it:
At the start we'll drive normally, but with speed limit 120 km/h or 80 mph. 1st guy from LMP will lead, and the others will create a line behind him. The other drivers, should stay behind him, and not overtake during formation lap. Due to heavy damages, drive safe and avoid any contact.
Reaching the second last corner, we'll limit our speed at 60 km/h or 40 mph, or else we can press the 'start' button. We'll drive in this speed untill the start line.
IMPORTANT! When EACH driver pass through the start line will go full throttle. Not when 1st car pass through it.
Here i give you the photos for the Braking Point and the Braking Zone in this track:

The white part of the track is the Braking Zone where we limit at 60km/h or 40mph

This is the exact point where we start limiting our speed.
Laguna is a very short track for cars like we use in this league. It's big enough for a race like that. 110 laps seems too much, but it's the same distance as in LE MANS. This is a challenge for everyone, i know.
Try to keep your battles clean, and most importantly, when you come closer to slower cars, keep your distances and be patient and calm when overtaking. Helping eachother is important so we have no incidents in this race.
If you want to see the race details, see at the Original Post.
I've asked by anyone who's interested to express his interest by posting in this thread or by contacting me personaly. I see there's no action, so i'll try to invite people myself. It's important to see a full grid next friday. People can come and race even by replacing a missing driver.
For any questions, please feel free to ask by posting it here and i'll try to reply as soon as possible.
Also, i'd like to know, who's coming at the race, and if someone's changing his car, i'd like him to post his car choise in his comment below. Confirm your participation guys.

@Philipp
I know and i agree at your point. Real life goes before racing. Take care at your self, have fun and manage to spend your time as cool as possible. We'll wait for you mate. Maybe someone wants to replace you next friday. We'll see. Take care.

i see some problems with my race participation at friday.
the following day (saturday) we have our first GTT-VLN-race and i have to test as much as possible.
further my constitution didn´t allow me to drive a 110lap laguna race and the following day a 11 lap nordschleifen-race.
i recognized this weekend, that i have physical problems with a race the following day.
- may be i am too old now, or it depends on wheel....
i would drive if our class is complete, because i don´t want to be the one who cancelled
and spoil the fun for the other racers.
but i fear there are not so many racers in GT1 ?
- phil cancelled already
- manu and huasee have big race next day, too
- new drivers in this class ?

I agree to landei.
2 1/2h with only one opponent might be to much 4 me this time, facing the upcoming vln race next day.
Still like the idea but we need more participants!
